Mobile Retro Handsets
7/19/2008
Presenting the Retro Handset, shown here in its Bluetooth and wired versions. Cradle this grandfather of telephony as you make or receive calls and you’ll feel like you’re traveling back to the good old days when receivers were made of sturdy plastic and you could give them a good slam-down without worrying about breaking them. Especially useful when telemarketers come a ‘calling. Not that we would encourage such behavior of course.
The Bluetooth Retro Handset charges via USB and works with Bluetooth V1.0, 1.1, 1.2 while the curly cord handset (that is more classic-looking) works with most phones, with or without separate adapters.
It’s cool, it’s geeky, and you can imagine all the curious stares you’ll be getting from the people around you.
“Alert! We have a traveler from another dimension. It appears that mobile phones have evolved quite differently in their world…”
